Brisbane City Council commissioned me to create an interactive artwork at the as part of the Inhabit: Ideas for Better Living, CBD Vibrant Laneways project. Featuring live bands, performers and artists, the Turbot Street Party brought together Brisbane creatives in a celebration of counterculture for all ages - transforming the urban ‘underworld’ of the Turbot Street Underpass (between George and Roma Streets) into a musical and visual playground in the heart of the concrete jungle. For my interactive video I filmed party goers while they were attached to a horizontal bungee cord on an inflatable surface, then live edited the footage in the middle of the street party and projected the resulting video on to an adjacent wall during the event.
